What do I bring to class?
- It is important that you have your course binder with you each day of class.
- Take an extra pad or notebook with you. This way you can write down what the teacher explains on the blackboard and have extra space to solve tasks.
- Take enough writing materials with you. You should have at least a pencil and a ballpoint pen, fountain pen or Stabilo. You should also take light pens, so you can mark important things.
- Take a ruler, a set square, and a compass.
- If you are taking a course to prepare for short-term gymnasium, don't forget your calculator. We already know that you have a calculator on your cellphone. However, you must keep your cellphone in your pocket during the lessons, otherwise it will distract you. Besides, your school calculator has many exciting functions that will make your life easier when solving tasks at the exam.
- Take a bottle of water with you. It is important to drink enough because only then can your brain function optimally!
After class
- Try to complete as much of your homework as possible by the next day of class. This will be easier if you do not do everything in one day, but spread the material over several days.
- Before solving the homework, read through the relevant theory sheets and your notes again.
- Solve one sheet at a time and then correct it with the solutions on the next page. Do not just cross out wrong solutions, but try to understand where the mistake lies.
- If you don't understand a problem or its solution, mark the corresponding page and problem. This way you can ask the teacher for help the next day.
If you follow all these tips, you will soon have the topics relevant for the exam under control!
